About Mocavelli Maha | The MOCAsaic Story
Art is never just one thing.
Look closer, and you might see something different. A new shape. A different feeling. Another way to tell a story. That openness to interpretation is at the heart of MOCAsaic.
A story from Sumayyah Reese
I created the MOCAsaic design out of my love of art: examining it, exploring it, and discovering how differently we can interpret what we see. I wanted to bring that way of looking into my own work while staying connected to my first design, the handcrafted Brainstorm beanies.
The next idea came from something I did not want to do: waste materials. I began finding a way to reuse embroidery thread, and that exploration became the MOCAsaic design. It was a new creative direction rooted in the work I had already begun.
For me, MOCAsaic connects a love of art with the possibility of seeing something familiar in a different way.
A signature, beaded by hand
At Mocavelli Maha, handcrafted details are part of the expression. From the texture of a hand-beaded MVM logo to the character of a MOCAsaic design, the details invite you to look closer and bring your own interpretation.
From Brainstorm beanies to custom couture
The story begins with handcrafted Brainstorm beanies and continues through expressive casualwear, beaded accessories, coordinated looks, and custom couture. Across these different forms, the connection is a creative approach that brings art into what we wear.
A relaxed silhouette can be a canvas. A logo can become a tactile detail. A piece of thread can be the beginning of a new idea.
